Lending money under the livelihood project

The second phase of this project was held at Katsilaimadu the common hall in Mullaithivu district on June 13th.2007 at 11.30 am the total  number of beneficiaries selected for this project were 80 from Muthaiyankaddu and Kanagarathinapuram. They were selected from poverty stricken families. Tech implemented this livelihood development programme with the aid of Norad and the Tech of  Norway for the internally displaced in this village. In this first phase of meeting a number  of 30 beneficiaries were lent cash from Rs 7,000 to 15,000 for their  activities such as cattle breeding.   Rearing goats, poultry farming, gardening and small trading. The amount paid on this day was 0.35 million.

Mr.S.Kulam  the district coordinating advisor for Trincomalee, Mr.N.Kalaisanker the Tech Coordinator for NORAD project, Mr.Sathan  and Mr.V.Vijajakumar field officers for Mullaithivu Tech, Mr.Aravinthan the Project coordinator for Mullai Tech, the employees of Katsilaimadu Woman Forum, the G.S for Katsilaimadu  and the public had attended at this event.
