CARE helps Farmers in Mannar

The farmers in Mannar need up-to-date knowledge, and better tools that will help in attaining high yield crop. A sound knowledge is required, to recognise diseases that might affect crop growth, as well as knowledge in preventing diseases occurring.

With the kind contribution from CARE, Mannar TECH has setup an establishment, whereby farmers can acquire this necessary knowledge. This new venture distributes leaflets detailing advice and instructions. Its topics range from common diseases, to tools that should be sought after, depending on needs. The Chief of CARE Sri-Lanka, Nicholas Christopher, took part in the opening ceremony of this establishment on 2nd march 2006.
