TECH distributes Solar Panels in Trincomalee district
TECH realised the value of providing solar panels to the people. It would bring the war stricken people an opportunity to have electricity during the evenings, which we all take for granted. This valuable necessity would allow children to study in the afterlight hours, and others to continue with their daily tasks, which would increase their convenience, whereas beforehand candlelight would not have proved beneficial.
On 31st May 2005, in the Trincomalee district, TECH distributed 1.5 million rupees worth of solar-panels through the Voonoir Virushah People Development organisation. In total TECH issued 45 solar panels to the people of Eechalam Pattu, on a loan basis.
